St. Patrick’s Day Update -

The cold weather is starting to break, but not quickly enough for some of us. The farms have had a bit of warm weather, so things are starting to pop up and grow heartily after a long cold winter.
The team at Lowcountry Local First is working on the market, and it’s now scheduled to open at the end of April. Stay tuned for more details.

Farm Fresh Update

Farm Fresh Market is nearly ready to open. This electronic market will provide a connection between Chefs and several local farmers in the Charleston, SC area. There will be a weekly shopping opportunity for the chefs to purchase fresh farm produce from these local farmers, with distribution facilitated by Lowcountry Local First, the sponsor of the program. Our planned opening day is targeted for early April 2010, so be sure to check back for updates.

Cheers!
